This mezcal from Los Siete is made with the Coyote variety of agave, which isn’t often seen being used in mezcal production – interesting stuff indeed! This bottling is the 2015 vintage, and features a pair of well dressed skeletons on the label, as well as a skeleton dog (or is it a coyote?).

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.

Distillery Information

Los Siete Misterios (The Seven Secrets or Mysteries) was founded in 2010 with the mission of preserving the dying tradition of mezcal making. This expression is produced from 100% organic arroqueo agave which is produced traditionally and is double-distilled in clay pot-pot stills. It is unaged and is bottled at a proof of 97.4. The seven mysteries are the bottlings themselves; they have seven expressions available, each representing a different type of agave.
