A real rum rarity here, taking its rightful place in The Colours of Rum series from indie bottler Wealth Solutions. This demerara rum hails from Guyana’s long-closed Enmore distillery and was produced in its famed wooden pot still, before being filled into an ex-rum cask to mature.

Nose: Exotic fruits, mango, banana bread, baked apples. on the nose.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: The finish is quite delicate, opulent and long.

Distillery Information

The Enmore distillery was founded in the 19th century in Guyana in South America by Edward Henry Potter and made rum until it shut its doors in 1993. Rum from this ghost distillery is now rare and highly-prized. It used a unique Coffey still which consisted of a wooden pot connected to a 25 plate analyser column and a 32 plate rectifying column. Happily when Enmore closed, this piece of distilling history was moved to the Diamond Distillery along with stills from other producers and its still producing rum to this day. But it isnt, strictly speaking, Enmore.
