This shochu is smooth and mellow with gentle flavours of plums, grapes and subtle citrus. Its a well-rounded and moreish expression that is well worth trying if, like us, your a big fan of shochu.

Distillery: The Dudao brewery

This beautiful Dudao Satoimo Shochu was created at the Dudao brewery in Taiwan with top quality local ingredients including Nantou spring plum and Taro, a popular root vegetable. The Dudao brewerys badge features a ladybird, the natural guardian of the taro root protecting it from aphids, the small but destructive insect known for destroying large amounts of vegetation. They say it serves as a reminder of the fragility of nature and how we must rely on those that we share the land with (such as ladybirds) to protect the fruits and vegetables that we live off of.
