This gives the whisky a ruby red appearance and an earthy nose with hints of cigar smoke, cherry and spices. The palate is generous and oily with fruit notes, soft oak, vanilla, caramel and coffee. The finish is rich and varied with bittersweet notes of lemon, orange and ginger.
