This spectacular rum was distilled in 1997 at Clarendon distillery in Jamaica. It then matured for 24 years in a single cask, before being bottled by the folks at Wealth Solutions for The Colours of Rum series. A release of only 192 bottles, at a cask strength of 49.2%.

Nose: It’s got the colours of an old cognac and indeed, it would start with notes of old cognac,

Palate: The palate offers a complex aroma of vanilla, wood, plum, chocolate

Distillery Information

The distillery is owned for 73% by National Rums of Jamaica, a partnership between the Jamaican government, the West Indies Rum Distillery (owned since 2017 by Maison Ferrand), and Demerara Distillers. The other 27% is in the hands of Diageo, who use the majority of the distillery’s production for Captain Morgan.
