Diaz Brothers Agave Espadin Mezcal is a new expression from the family-owned distillery, founded in Jalisco, Mexico in 1949. It is made from agave espadin, a local agave that grows on a mountainous plateau. It is distilled to a minimum of 80% ABV. The mezcal is made from the hearts of the agave, and is a clear, golden color. It has a fruity nose with notes of caramel, orange, and vanilla. The taste is a bit less sweet than the nose, with a light, clean finish.
