Distillery Information

Calirosa is a tequila brand, launched in 2021 by musician Adam Levine of American pop rock band Maroon 5. The brand is produced by the Real family in Amatitn, Jalisco of Mexico. The inaugural collection of Tequilas for the brand was a duo of Rosa Blanco and Aejo, both aged in red wine barrels. Prior to fermentation, the pias of Blue Weber agave are harvested after seven to nine years of growth. Fermentation takes up to 50 hours prior to a double distillation. Since release, an Extra Aejo and Cinco Aos have since been added to the collection. The brand’s image is built on the fusion on Californian and Mexican cultures by combining Tequila with the red wine culture of California. The aging in ex-red wine barrels gives the bottled Tequila a pink to dark orange hue depending on the age.
